Job Summary
Affton A Dana Company is seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on tractors and tank trailers. This is a full-time position with day shift hours and the opportunity for overtime. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-offs
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on tractors and tank trailers
- Inspect and test vehicle systems to ensure they are operating properly
- Perform preventative maintenance to extend the lifespan of vehicles
- Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and solve complex problems

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
